Computerized research and your privacy
Our priority is to respect and protect personal information, including all identifying information, such as ID numbers, telephone numbers, addresses, email addresses, et cetera. However, in this survey, only an email address is required to participate.
Only staff members of the research team have access to the data you provide. Researchers are obliged to respect personal information and keep them confidential. The personal information you provide is processed fairly and lawfully. We guarantee not to sell, rent, or exchange any personal information to third-parties.
The only purpose of this survey is to conduct high-quality research, and non-research activities such as direct marketing are strictly excluded. We do not have any financial interests, nor do we benefit (financially) from the research or your personal information.
The institute’s privacy statement can be found here: https://www.ios-regensburg.de/datenschutzerklaerung.html
What do we do with the data from the survey?
The purpose of the international survey is to investigate (labor) migration among young and highly skilled people from the Danube region. The study aims to analyze migration reasons, talent attractiveness, and regional disparities in order to get a comprehensive overview of living conditions in the Danube region.
All of the answers you provide in this survey will be kept confidential. No identifying information will be provided to the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) or any other institution. The survey data will be reported in a summary fashion only and will not identify any individual person.
All the answers you provide will be gathered and grouped with the answers of other survey participants. However, if you do not feel comfortable with some of the questions or multiple-choice options, you are free to ignore the question and move on to the next one. The survey is designed in a way that not every question requires an answer.
Your participation in the survey is, of course, entirely voluntary. You are free to ask us to delete or destroy your answers anytime.
IMPORTANT NOTE: After the research has expired, the survey and all your data will be deleted from the server.
